Reflections and Insights
As the golden days of summer drift away, I pause to turn my gaze towards Autumn's soft promise. In this space between seasons, I invite you into the heart of my journey becoming an herbalist. Why I answered the call to become an Herbalist and how plants have become my teachers and companions.

Reciprocity with Plants
An Herbalists is an educator rooted in gratitude. We guide curious souls towards the wisdom of leaves, flowers, roots, and more so they might find gentle support for the body and spirit. This dance of learning and sharing feels like a natural unfolding. Especially for someone whose home windows always frame a jungle of houseplants and whose walks discover tenacious wild flowers rising from the forgotten cracks.

Matchmaking People and Plants
As Christopher Hedley wrote, "Herbalist are simply matchmakers between people and plants." I feel that truth in every seed I sow and every infusion I steep. Bridging human curiosity with botanical abundance has become my daily ritual.

Medicine Making and the Spirituality of Herbs
Certain moments during my herbalist studies stood out as bright spots in the fading light. Crafting salve for irritated skin revealed how gentle alchemy can mend both tissue and soul. Steeping lavender or rose petails in hot water taught me how aroma can carry us into quiet reverie. And each morning, as I blend lemon balm, jasmine, and holy basil for my morning tea I watch steam curl like whispers telling me their secrets. Holding that warm mug between my palms, I feel held in return.

I Invite You to Watch or Listen
Rooted in ritual, my spiritual journey with Lemon Balm.
May this seaon's turning inspire you to listen to the green world around you. Whether in a backyard patch, a balcony oasis, or a humble windowsill, plants are waiting to teach, and guide.
Rooted in gratitude ✨
